Source Record CSV Checker

Source Record CSV Checker reads a CSV source log with device, software, source_url and read_date columns. It flags missing values, uneven column counts, invalid HTTP or HTTPS URL forms, invalid YYYY-MM-DD dates and repeated device/software pairs. Pair comparisons ignore letter case. The command prints a JSON report with record numbers and issues. It accepts a file path or standard input and uses Python’s standard library. Exit status zero means no row issues; one means the report contains issues; two means the checker could not read the file or accept its header. A header-only file reports zero records. The checker does not fetch URLs, read manufacturer documents or test hardware compatibility. GolfCompat publishes the utility. The public source document includes usage instructions, the complete original Python file and its MIT license.
